Former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua would consider step aside money from WBC champion Tyson Fury in order to abandon the rematch with WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO champion Oleksandr Usyk and clear the way for them in the ring.
“I want to leave a legacy; I want to be the first three-time heavyweight champion. This is my main goal. But if the money is right, then I’m ready to think about stepping aside.
I want to be known as a good businessman in my career. Therefore, as a business opportunity, we will review the proposal and then make a decision. But definitely respect for me is much more important than money.
Three things will need to be considered: Is it worth taking money, given that this is a smart business move? How will this money affect my reputation? Will I be able to fight the best of the best after that?” Joshua said.
