The current holder of the IBF cruiserweight belt, Latvian Mairis Briedis wants to help former world heavyweight champion Briton Anthony Joshua prepare for a rematch with the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO champion Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.
“If Joshua is to beat Usyk in a rematch, then he needs to come to my gym and train with me. I know how to defeat Usyk. We are not friends, but we know each other well,” said Briedis.
Recall that the rematch between Usyk and Joshua is scheduled for this spring.
